Okay, so I have this whole epic backstory for these two in my head, but I'm not gonna bother posting that here because that'd make this thing ridiculously long.
That is quite possibly the LAZIEST background ever, but it already took too long, so...
Their names are Inqui and Jack, and are based upon the myths of the white stag (frequently stated to have golden horns), whom I sorta combined with a faerie pegasis, and the Wolpertinger.
"In" was the Incan word for "sun", and "qui" comes from "quipu", which were knots in rope used for counting, keeping stories- basically in place of a written language. The Incans are among the few civilizations that built cities and such, but didn't have some form of written language. So I imagine that Inqui has an excellent memory for even the smallest of details, no matter how long ago it was. ((Wow, tangent much? The things I find interesting.))
As for Jack, his name came from... the Jackelope. I thought it sounded pretty similar to a Wolpertinger, as a creature...
